On a bright wintery day I was on my way to the barn when I discovered my beautiful Palomino mare Whisper was covered in blood. Her whole chest and front legs were red with what appeared to be a lot of blood that was flowing out of a large wound in her chest. She had been pierced with a sharp object that had left a wound about 1.5 inches wide and at least 2 inches deep. It was the left hand side.
I attended to her wound with some very special natural salve that a friend makes, the
stuff is amazing.
A week went by and again I was on my way back to the barn to feed the horses. My amazing dog Bandit was with me as usual. I threw a ball for him into the forest for him to catch and he and he ran into a stick which pierced him on the right side of his chest.
He would not let me near him to attend to him. Animals in distress usually behave like that when they have been injured. My thought was quickly feed the horses and take him to the vet. In my haste to get the feeding done I slipped on some ice and fell very hard and quick straight down on to a 3 pronged pitch fork. You know the split second thoughts you have when something like this is happening....I had one "This is going to hurt."
At that moment I realized that I was being held above the fork prongs. I could actually feel a soft mass holding me off the prongs. It felt like I was being held by, dare I say it... Angel Wings.
As I assessed my situation I discovered that one prong was aimed at my left chest, one prong was aimed at my right chest and one prong was between my body and my arm.
As I laid there trying to figure out what was holding me up and how to get out of the situation without hurting myself it dawned on me that my two animals had taken the hits for me like some sort of Karmic balancing. I looked at Whisper and asked her clairvoyantly "did you and Bandit take the hits for me"? She lowered one eye lid and held it there. That is her way of telling me yes. She and I communicate like that a lot.
I truly believe that was all supposed to happen for me to have the experience of angel intervention. Both animals healed very well and neither has even a scar from their injuries. My friends salve that she makes with so much love and possibly divine help made sure that both animals healed beautifully from their wounds.
