There is a saying that goes “if you don’t like your horoscope, read a different paper”. Though this is true to a degree there is something to explain. The reason that Newspaper Astrology is so ambiguous is because almost all astrologers use the basic Sun sign to calculate your horoscope. This means the focus on where the Sun was when you were born. However because the location of the Earth changes a great deal, even in just one week. With this in mind, the Astrologer has to be rather ambiguous.
In addition to this the Sun is not the only governing body to concern yourself with. The other main players in the Astrological field are The Moon – relating to Emotions. Mars – relating to Passion. The Ascendant – relating to the way you present yourself to the world at large.
Check with a professional Astrologer to find out which signs these planets and points are in for you personally, then check out those signs as well.
Astrology is a very complicated process, and though there are many different ways of making the calculations, as long as a given method is followed consistently, it is a very effective guideline for what tools you were born with, and how to use them effectively.
